Lower Your Voice: Nathan Lee Laid Off For "Economic Reasons"

From the Too Much Irony For Monday file: The Hollywood Reporter has details on the upcoming Only in New York, which may be the next project for Jim Caviezel:
The script follows a recently paroled street hustler looking for a new life and seeking redemption only to find his path blocked by the combustible melange of New York elements that once did him in.
All right, I can work with that. I like Jim Caviezel. I like New York. I like hust-- Anyway, Only in New York has a problem. Or two:
New York will begin production in June in Toronto. French filmmaker Pitof will direct. He last shot the infamous 2004 comic book movie Catwoman, starring Halle Berry and Sharon Stone.
Surely, this is a joke; an April Fool's Day press release that got mislaid in the fax machine, or perhaps held up in the e-mail server? The word "Pitof" gave it away, like a sly smile you can't help but crack in the middle of a really great April 1 fib. "Oh, yes... and we've attached... ahem... Pitof to ... bwahhahhahahaha!" Something like that. As Caviezel is fond of saying -- Jesus Christ.
