Screening Gotham: All-Positive Friday!

By Christopher Campbell, guest editor

In keeping with the 2007 standard, here is some of today’s positive news of note from around New York:

-- I haven’t really been worried about what director Eric Schaeffer (If Lucy Fell) is up to lately, but I’m glad to see he’s devoting more energy these days to this misogynistic blog. It isn’t that I mean to support the blog, but at least it takes him away from making films for the sole purpose of getting to make out with famous actresses and models.

-- Congratulations to teenage screenwriter Tiara Bennett for not only making wannabe screenwriters jealous, but for also stating that film is her "backup plan" and for acting like it’s no big deal having her first script produced by falling asleep on the set.

-- A lot of New Yorkers with too much money bought useless memorabilia yesterday so that "not-so-rich-and-famous" film workers could have health insurance. Awww.

-- Remember how we beat our record for film shoots last year? Even better: We totally kicked L.A.’s ass (percentage growth-wise). Woooo!

Re: Eric Schaeffer's blog

Is it wrong of me to say that I read these kinda blogs (i.e. Tucker Max) from time to time?

Sure, they're crude as hell, but there's this curiosity I have about what the other half REALLY thinks about girls.

Christopher ~
I admire you for congratulating teenager, Tiara Bennet.

Isn't it a known fact that you, also as a teenager,
won huge recognition as the top award winner at the Young Playwrights Festival of Connecticut

In fact, as I recall... the play, when presented on stage, was a clean sweep winner, winning all 5 of the awards.

Congratulations to you, too.... even if a bit late.

XOXOX
